Research projects involving GI Science are associated with a wide variety of departments and academic centers on campus. Research projects vary from using geospatial technologies within the context of precision agricultural, hydraulic modeling, feature extraction, elevation modeling, habitat mapping, transportation asset management, to social service program equity analysis. There are also many efforts in the realm of linking information systems to geospatial information to aid decision support for local government issues and the visualization of these elements using Internet mapping services. Basic and applied research is also being done to develop and validate tools to extend the analytical capability of these technologies. Links to the various departments and programs across campus are listed below. From these linkages the programs, projects, tools, and support systems can be accessed and viewed.
